Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion
Volkswagen has presented the Polo BlueMotion at the Geneva Auto Salon 2006. This car was the kick-off of the Volkswagen BlueMotion program that stands for sustainability and environmental friendliness but coupled with powerful riding.

The Polo BlueMotion has a 59 kW/80 hp diesel engine which only consumes 3.9 liters diesel per 100 kilometers. Compared with an equally strong ‘normal’ Polo, he delivers the same performance at a lower average consumption rate of 0.5 litres/100 km. The Polo BlueMotion owes his lower fuel consumption and the lower emission values (16 km/gram lower CO2 emissions) to the extended transmission ratios of the five-gearbox, optimized aerodynamic bodywork and various engine modifications. This is the most economical & climate aware Polo BlueMotion without any concessions in reflecting performance and driving. The Polo BlueMotion has also 14″ chrome rims and a special aerodynamic spoilerset standard.

BlueMotion label
‘Blue’ is the color of Volkswagen and is also a symbol for the elements water and air. “Motion” is the mobility of the future. BlueMotion will gradually develop into a Volkswagen certification for the most economical variant of within serie or model range. The TDI, FSI & TSI-engines prove that Volkswagen is as no one else capable of developing cars with low-consumption rate and outstanding performance levels. The new Polo BlueMotion is produced in Spain – Pamplona.
