Volkswagen’s BlueMotion range recently extended with the Touran. The Volkswagen Polo, Golf, Jetta, Passat and Sharan were already available with BlueMotion package. Prices of the Touran Bluemotion start at €30.625-  for the standard VW Touran Trendline Bluemotion.

The Volkswagen Touran BlueMotion uses a 1.9-liter TDI engine with 105 hp. This engine is equipped with a newly developed turbo which reduces fuel consumption. The average fuel consumption for the Touran BlueMotion is set on 5.4 liter diesel per 100 kilometers, while the CO2 emissions are determined on 144 g/km. Other modifications that the Volkswagen engineers have conducted to the Touran are a (slightly) modified grille, a reduction of ground clearance and assembling low-resistance tires.

The power of the BlueMotion is also increased from 77 kW/105 hp to 81 kW/110 hp. Moreover, the maximum torque of 250 Nm is reached between 1500 and 2500 rpm where the 1.9 TDI stopped peaking at 1900 rpm.
